Dr. West - Goscha Family

When everyone you talk to recommends the same doctor, it's a good idea to take their advice.

When we first moved to Ascension parish, I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to find a good pediatrician. It literally kept me up at night.

So we started asking around. And it seemed like every time we asked someone where to find a good pediatrician, Dr. West's name kept coming up. So we called.

Five minutes after meeting Dr. West, I knew I didn't need to worry any more. She instantly put me at ease and had toys to keep the kids occupied. Now, Nicholas knows when it's time to see Dr. West. Both he and Samantha love to see the doctor. She treats them like real people.

And, she knows what to expect when they get sick. She always seems to be one step ahead of the illness.

When we heard she was leaving to start her own practice, we decided that if it was within a one hour drive, we were going to stay with her.

It is. And we are.

I can't predict when my kids will get sick.

But I can be sure that their doctor is readily available when they need her. It's always been that way with Dr. Clark Gulino. When I was pregnant with Francesca, we lived in another parish. The hospital there decides who will deliver your baby. Luckily, they introduced us to Dr. Clark Gulino.

We had already decided who Francesca's pediatrician would be, but all that changed after we met Dr. Clark Gulino. Her bedside manner is amazing. Most doctors seem like they're in such a hurry, but she made us feel like we were the most important thing. She's genuine, thorough, and never stops asking all the right questions. At first she seemed like she might be a little young and inexperienced, but before long we were convinced that it would be hard to find a doctor as perfect for our family as Dr. Clark Gulino.

Her new practice is a farther drive from where we live than where she used to practice, but that doesn't matter. We'd follow Dr. Clark Gulino wherever she goes.

With our previous doctor we never knew who we were going to see. It was a different doctor every time. But now, it's just one. And if I didn't know any better, I'd think we were her only patients.
